Happy Thursday!

November is almost here, and we’re looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us as a church family in the weeks ahead! Supporting the work of the Gospel in Panama, gathering together in prayer, blessing those in need in our own community and celebrating God’s goodness this Thanksgiving season, there’s plenty happening at The Springs.

Be sure to check out the announcements below for upcoming events, important reminders, and a few calendar updates as we prepare for our facility transition. We’re thankful for each of you and the ways God continues to work in and through our church family!

Daylight Savings || 11/1
Don’t forget on Sunday, November 1st, Daylight Savings Time ends! Set your clocks BACK so you don’t miss a minute of great fellowship!

Pray First || 11/1 || 8:15 - 8:45 AM || The Springs Room 124
Come pray with us this Sunday, November 1st! “Pray First” is a once-a-month prayer rally for our entire church family. We’ll pray from 8:15 - 8:45 AM on the first Sunday morning of each month in Room 124. Not only will this start our Sunday morning off right, but this will be a regular declaration to the Lord that The Springs Church is dependent on Him for all things! Adults, youth, kids…let’s all join together and Pray First.

Panama Christmas Project || Now through November 1st
The Panama Christmas Project is an opportunity for you to share the love of Jesus to children in Panama. Missionaries, Frank & Silvia Saavedra will use these funds to distribute gift bags to children in Panama through local churches, so that the gospel of Jesus can be shared with them. Please, pray for this amazing work and consider how God may lead you in giving towards this great project.
Cash and checks can be dropped off in the drop boxes in the Worship Center and Lobby via the Panama Christmas Project envelopes.

Or, you can give online at www.thesprings.church/give. Be sure to select Panama Christmas Project in the fund dropdown.

Please, submit your donations by November 1st!

Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month! If you would like to show your appreciation for one of our pastors, please place your cards or gifts in “The BOX” located in the Lobby or at the back of the Worship Center. Thank you for blessing our pastors with your encouragement and appreciation!

Thanksgiving Baskets - Be a Blessing this Thanksgiving! || Deadline 11/15/25
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded of how much we have to be grateful to the Lord for — and how powerful it is to share that gratitude with others. Over the past several years, our church family has had the privilege of being good neighbors by providing 20 Thanksgiving baskets for families in need at Ozark West Elementary School.

This year, as grocery costs continue to rise, our kindness and generosity can make an even greater impact. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us — as an individual, family, or small group — to provide a basket filled with Thanksgiving essentials? Each basket will bless a local family with a full meal and a reminder of God’s love and care through His people.

Drop-off Details:
  • Tuesday, November 24th
  • 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM
  • Back door of Ozark West Elementary

To sign up, simply email Pastor Rob at rob@thesprings.church or visit the Sign-Up Table in the lobby.

Let’s come together to share the joy of Thanksgiving — shining the light of Christ and reminding our neighbors that they are seen, loved, and not alone.

"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
— Matthew 5:16

Voting Transportation Assistance || 11/3
If you need help with transportation to vote on November 3rd, please contact Kim Logan at 417-619-5411.

November 2nd Wednesday || 11/11 || 6:30 - 7:35 AM || The Springs Fireside Room
Men, join us on November 11th at 6:30 AM in the Fireside Room as we continue going through Brant Hansen's insightful book, "The Men We Need".
We will be diving into Decision Two: “Protect the Vulnerable.” Don’t worry if you have missed previous sessions! Each lesson can stand on its own even as the book builds with each session. Set your alarm and join us for this time of learning and mutual sharpening to be more of the men we need!

Day of Thanksgiving || 11/22
Our Sunday morning service will focus on God's goodness in the past, even as we look forward expectantly to His grace in the future. Here are two other opportunities for celebration on that day...

  • Turkey Bowl- Join us from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Ted & Lorie Nickel's for our 7th Annual Turkey Bowl where our 7th-12th graders will compete in a friendly Flag Football game! Families are invited to attend and cheer everyone on while they enjoy some s’mores and other snacks on the sideline. Our preteens will also compete in a halftime mini-game and help with some important jobs during the game. Bring a chair and come join in thanksgiving fun!
  • Night of Thanksgiving- We will gather at The Springs at 6:30 PM for a Night of Thanksgiving which will include desserts and an open mic time of thanksgiving. We are asking everyone to bring a dessert to share. Water and hot drinks will be provided! While childcare will not be provided, this will be a family friendly night for all ages!

Fall Calendar Adjustments
Due to our upcoming facility transition, we have seen a need to be flexible and adjust some of the events on our fall calendar. These include Flavors of Fall and the Housemoot gathering. We will not be hosting Flavors of Fall this year, but are considering other ways to celebrate and even reach out to our new community after our move. Housemoot is looking towards early 2027 to gather again around the themes of creative work, music, literature, and the arts.
