Our Global Outreach Missionaries

The following missionaries are supported from our Global Outreach budget or by individuals from our congregation. Many are former members of the church. Others are associated through the denomination. They serve in various ministries and locations around the world.

Mark & Jodi Revell have served with EFCA ReachGlobal in Budapest, Hungary since 2010. The mission of ReachGlobal is to “multiply heathy churches among all people”, and it is their deep privilege to join God in His work in Hungary, with a focus on disciple-making and church multiplication. As City Team Leader, Mark leads a group of EFCA staff who are involved in disciple-making and church multiplication in a wide variety of contexts around the city. Mark also provides leadership to the Hungarian staff of the Bátorítás Alapítvány (Encouragement Foundation), which has as its goal to “help churches reach communities.” The foundation is involved in a variety of activities, including community outreach, a faith and work initiative, a city-wide prayer initiative, and the operation of the Kelenföld Montázs Központ (KMK). The KMK is a ministry and community center in the 11th district of Budapest which provides a home for four churches, 15 ministry and community organizations, and the Montázs Art Café coffeehouse. The KMK serves around 1,200 guests weekly.

In addition to providing support to Mark and the entire team, Jodi is involved in discipling children at the International Christian School of Budapest, and has served in past years with the Encouragement Foundation as coordinator of the extensive program of summer outreach English camps for children and teenagers held at the KMK. The Revells recently helped to plant a new church called “Agóra Gellért”in the 11th district of Budapest. They recently relocated to a new apartment in the 12th district out of a desire to see a new church one day established in that area.

Their older son Jonah is presently a university student in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and their younger son Parker is a high schooler at the International Christian School of Budapest.
In January 2021, Mark will assume a new role with the Evangelical Free Church of America, as Director of Training and Development for ReachGlobal.

Harold and Cindy Golden are serving with ReachGlobal in Budapest, Hungary on the Budapest City Team.  They have been serving in Budapest since 2015 in various roles.  Currently, Harold is the Óbuda (Northern suburb of Budapest) team leader.  The team is focused on planting and revitalizing churches.   Their ministry is engaged in several gospel initiatives to advance the Gospel.  The team is working in two schools, using conversational English with students and their parents to build relationships and to share the love of Christ.  We host Bible Chats to answer questions of those interested in the Gospel.  We host special events, and ongoing programs to share the good news of Jesus and to disciple local Hungarians.  Harold is serving as an elder in our local Hungarian church.  Cindy loves young women’s and women’s ministries to disciple and encourage women of all ages in their lives.  Additionally, we host a church plant gathering in our flat in Budapest that is focused on late teens and early 20’s.  We pray that God will use these occasions to draw them deeper into the Gospel message.    We are developing partnerships with other organizations in Budapest to maximize our reach into the Hungarian culture and community.   We pray that our lives will reflect the love of Christ and that He will use us for His purposes in His ways and in His time!

Cassidy Baker has been part of the Budapest City Team since 2013, primarily in the role of Director at the local art café ministry, founded by the BCT and a local Hungarian foundation. She’s enjoyed investing time into the staff and guests of the coffeehouse and working to bring the aroma of Christ to the neighborhood. Beginning in November 2020, she will transition to the position of Budapest City Team Leader, where she’ll be responsible to lead ReachGlobal staff who are investing in disciplemaking and church planting in various ways throughout the city. She will continue to be involved in a limited way in the coffeehouse while taking a wider view of the city.
