If you want to grow as a godly man, or help other men grow to be men who reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and invest eternally – then this series is for YOU!
Even if they want to, many Christian men find it hard to talk to others about Jesus. Is it possible this difficulty is because we’re trying to speak a language we haven’t actually spent time practicing? Is it possible we have neglected to understand for ourselves how the good news of Jesus impacts every facet of our own lives?
To become fluent in a new language, it is essential that we immerse ourselves in it and commit to practicing it. over and over again. We must use it everyday until we actually start to think about life through it. Becoming fluent in the gospel happens the same way – after believing it, we have to intentionally rehearse it (to ourselves and to others) and immerse ourselves in its truths. Only then will we start to see how everything in our lives, from the mundane to the magnificent, its transformed by the hope of the gospel.
Our plan is to gather men into small groups for this purpose and in doing so provide an environment where men challenge each other to cultivate this counter-cultural mindset. The material that we are using comes from Gospel Fluency by Jeff Vanderstelt and offers men biblical insights, practical advice and compelling stories aimed at encouraging and equipping Christians to speak the truths of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life.
Our study will provide a Biblical picture that will motivate and equip you
to take action that can grow your life regardless of whether you are stuck or thriving.
